The apparel collection features textile designs dating from the 18th century to the 21st century from the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
From small detail embellishments to full garment coverage, the V&A’s patterns will feature on a variety of menswear items including shirts, t-shirts, jeans, ties, casual jackets and leather accessories ranging from £16 to £85.
Rob Faucherand, head of buying at Debenhams said: “We at Debenhams are very excited about collaborating with an institution with such a fantastic archive of creative history. This has allowed the team of St George by Duffer to utilise these designs in all elements of this season’s range.”
Lauren Sizeland, head of licensing and business development, V&A Enterprises added: “The V&A’s textile collections are extremely comprehensive. This development with Debenhams is a terrific opportunity for us to explore the archives and find unique patterns that fit with seasonal trends.’
Royalties from sales of the products are covenanted to the V&A, allowing the Museum to continue its work for the benefit of future generations.
