Rita’s Italian Ice partners with Knockout Licensing to reach new markets

Rita’s Italian Ice, the international franchise famous for its frozen Italian treats, has appointed Knockout Licensing to manage the company’s licensing programme.

The new deal will see Knockout Licensing leverage the equity of the Rita brand across a range of new products.

Robin Seward, senior VP and chief marketing officer at Rita’s Italian Ice, said: “Rita’s is not only known for its ‘cool treats,’ including its famous Italian Ice and Frozen Custard, but also for its commitment to serving up a dose of happiness to each and every one of its guests.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Knockout to expand Rita’s offerings to licensed products to help further the reach of Rita’s beloved brand.”

Knockout Licensing is seeking partners across various categories, including confections, beverages, drinkware, apparel, accessories, health and beauty aids, publishing and more.

“Personally, Rita’s conjures memories of my hometown of Philly and summers on the Jersey shore. It’s a brand that represents something very special to its fans, something that goes well beyond its yummy frozen treats,” added Tamra Knepfer, president at Knockout Licensing.

“With the number of stores continuing to grow rapidly across the US, as well as internationally, it’s so exciting to bring the Rita’s brand to other products where the flavors of Rita’s and even the name alone, add that something special for licensees. We will also be bringing Rita’s fun and quirky style to lifestyle products – from apparel to room décor – to have Rita’s as part of fans’ everyday lives, year-round.”
