River of Goods to develop first Downton Abbey Lighting collection

Lighting and home décor specialist River of Goods has been granted the licence to develop the first Downton Abbey Lighting collection.

The new range will feature an exclusive collection of decorative floor and table lamps and even chandeliers, inspired by the award-winning ITV drama.

‘The collection will capture the grand style of the popular series set in an English castle, spanning the years leading up to World War One,’ read a statement from the firm.

“We’re proud to partner with river of Goods, renowned leader in luxury lamps and lighting to bring the first Downton Abbey Lighting collection to the market,” said Dominic Burns, senior vice president of brand management at NBC Universal International Television Production.

“Now retailers can offer their customers the opportunity to bring the style, warmth and elegance of Downton Abbey Lighting to their homes.”

The collection will feature around 20 exclusive designs, ranging from Edwardian-inspired to Art Deco with suggested retail prices ranging from $35 to $400.

The range will debut to retailers during the AmericasMart Atlanta market in January 2015, coinciding with the premiere of season five of the period drama on PBS.
