Roald Dahl’s title The Great Mouse Plot hit the top spot at this year’s World Book Day.
After reaching the number one spot last week, the book has since remained in the top ten at number three.
According to official book sales monitor, Nielsen BookScan, the book has gone on to sell 32,000 copies since becoming the official title for World Book Day.
Published by Penguin Random House Children’s, the £1 book beat another World Book Day title, Star Wars story The Escape.
Francesca Dow, MD of Penguin Random House Children’s, said: “Roald Dahl was a great believer in the thrilling power of a good story and I am thrilled that through World Book Day so many children will be discovering his mischievous tricks and magical storytelling for the very first time.
“It is the most wonderful way to begin our Roald Dahl centenary celebrations."
