Rocket Licensing has secured a raft of new UK licensees for its popular festive property the Grinch.
The company is looking to build on the success it has already seen in the fashion category for Dr Seuss’ hit Christmas tale, How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
Rocket has now signed with the homewares company Dreamtex for a line of Grinch bedding while IG Design Group has now come on board to deliver a line of Christmas gift wrapping.
Boosting the Grinch’s seasonal apparel and accessories offering, Rocket has appointed BCI to produce a range of kids’ nightwear, while Brand International Group will launch its first line of adult and kids’ footwear including slippers.
Misirli is also debuting a line of socks at Tesco this Christmas.
“The Grinch is a classic timeless brand and the resident grouch of Whoville has now become an icon for the Christmas season,” said Rob Wijeratna, joint managing director at Rocket Licensing.
“The appeal of the brand is broad and not only a big hit among parents and gift buyers, but now also with teens and young adults who are drawn to the Grinch’s anti-holiday spirit and edgy humour.
“We’re confident that these latest partnerships will sustain the Grinch’s position as a perennial Christmas brand.”
