Rocket signs C&M Licensing for Q Pootle 5 apparel

Rocket has secured a major new licensing agreement with C&M Licensing to develop a range of Q Pootle 5 apparel.

The new deal will see the firm – a joint venture of Cooneen and Misirli – deliver a collection of nightwear, underwear, socks and onesies to retailers across the UK and Ireland.

The collection is scheduled to hit retail in time for this year’s Christmas market and will join a roster of Q Pootle 5 licensed products, including a new range of books from Walker Books, magazines from Egmont Publishing and the first Q Pootle DVD.

Major promotional activity to support the range will feature special appearances by Nick Butterworth – creator of the CBeebies hit – at the National Space Centre in Leicester.

Mike Coles, Cooneen MD, said: “Q Pootle 5 is perfect for a character-led apparel range. He is instantly recognizable, loved by a fast growing number of young fans, and appears in colourful, exciting setting s that guarantee lively and fun designs.

“We are greatly looking forward to bringing Q Pootle 5 and his friends to a big audience of kids and retailers.”

Joint managing director of Rocket Licensing, Rob Wijeratna, added: “Nightwear and underwear were always among the key categories for this wonderful property.

“Kids will love seeing Q Pootle 5 and his spaceship on this colourful range of clothing produced by an experienced and respected partnership.”
