Australian fashion brand welcomed to newly formed Lifestyle Group.

Saban Brands adds Mambo to its portfolio

Saban Brands is building up its new Lifestyle Group division, adding Australian clothing label and fashion brand, Mambo.

Currently celebrating its 30th anniversary, Mambo designed the Australian uniforms for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, as well as continuing to ink artist collaborations. It is perhaps best known for combining art, surf, music and humour in its distinctive satirical designs.

"We are thrilled to add Mambo to our portfolio of lifestyle brands," said Dan Castle, MD of strategic business development at Saban Brands. "SBLG’s goal is to bring exceptional fashion and lifestyle properties in key markets and expand their global footprint.

"As an Australian brand with a unique art-driven aesthetic, Mambo will play a significant role in our international growth strategy both in Australia and around the world."

As a result of adding Mambo to the portfolio, the brand’s office in Sydney will also be expanding.

Angus Kingsmill, MD of Mambo, commented: "This is a massive coup for Mambo and one the Australian team is incredibly excited about."
