Saban Brands has named Sanrio’ president Janet Hsu as its new chief executive officer.
Hsu, who also currently serves as the chief operating officer of the global brand best known for Hello Kitty, will step into the new role from August 17th.
As Saban Brand’s first CEO, Hsu will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s portfolio of global entertainment and lifestyle properties, as well as playing an instrumental role in the acquisition of new brands and intellectual properties.
Hsu will join the firm as it continues its mission to grow its two business units, Saban Brands Entertainment Group that currently includes the likes of power Rangers and Cirque du Soleil and Saban Brands Lifestyle Groups, including Paul Frank and more.
