Sanrio taps The World of Eric Carle for Hello Kitty The Very Hungry Caterpillar product line

Sanrio Japan has teamed with The World of Eric Carle to develop a co-branded collection of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Hello Kitty products.

The joint Japanese programme will see the launch of an exclusive product line featuring more than 20 items from lunch box sets, towels and stationery to bags and plush.

Aimed at kids aged two to four years old, the range will be manufactured and distributed by Sanrio and will be sold in all Sanrio shops, online and in Sanrio sections of department stores across Japan.

The range will also retail in Sanrio shops in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Korea, Indonesia, Philippines and Germany.

Sanrio will celebrate the partnership and the launch of the new range with a roster of special events in Tokyo, giving fans the chance to meet Hello Kitty and Very Hungry Caterpillar characters.

The events will also give families the chance to engage n variety of games and displays, including The Very Hungry Caterpillar story time, a Very Hungry Caterpillar themed bouncy house and play environment, apps and more.
