Santoro Licensing wins Queen’s Award for Enterprise

Santoro Licensing has been honoured with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade in 2018.

The company, which was founded in 1995, is a division of London-based design house, Santoro, which is responsible for the hit brand, Gorjuss.

The awards are presented by HM The Queen, on the advice of the Prime Minister.

“We feel incredibly proud to have received this Award," said the company’s co-founder Meera Santoro. "Our Licensing division has been responsible for many of the Company’s achievements to date. It is a rare honour and one which we are immensely proud and grateful to accept.” 

The founding Company was originally created in a small studio based off the famous Carnaby Street, London. The Licensing division has seen 20 new licensing partners signed since October 2017 and currently works with 65 global licensing partners. Santoro Licensing has seen a 40 per cent growth since 2016.     

Launched in 2009, Santoro’s flagship brand Gorjuss is now available at over 35,000 points of sale across 93 countries and has already become a £120m brand.     

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious enterprise Awards to celebrate and encourage business excellence in the UK. The Award is in recognition of SANTORO’s substantial and sustained increase in its international success. The winners are chosen by the Queen, on the advice of the Prime Minister and were announced on Saturday on the Queen’s 92nd birthday.
