Scholastic Entertainment has revealed a slate of three more animated series based on popular children’s books from the Scholastic publishing library.
The trio of new shows now in development are Eva the Owlet, based on the Owl Diaries series by Rebecca Elliott, Blizz Richards: Legendary Creatures Protection League inspired by the three-book graphic novel series by Kevin Sherry and Mama Lion by Jon J Muth.
All three now join Scholastic Entertainment’s growing portfolio of animated content, one that was kickstarted with the Amazon Prime Video and PBS Kids reboot of Clifford the Big Red Dog.
“We are excited to expand our slate with three more animated series based on these standout books for kids,” said Caitlin Friedman, co-executive producer and VP and General Manager of Scholastic Entertainment.
‘While we ready Clifford for his big return, we also look forward to introducing these new classics to kids and families around the world.”
Eva the Owlet is the first 3D CGI animated for preschoolers geared towards young ‘makers’ raised on DIY reality shows and YouTube videos. Meanwhile, Blizz Richards: Legendary Creatures Protection League is an animated half-hour comedy series for kids aged seven to 11. The trio is completed by Mama Lion, based on the award-winning author Jon J Muth’s book called Mama Lion Wins the Race.
