Scholastic launches revamped Goosebumps site and new book

As Halloween fast approaches, Scholastic has launched a revamped Goosebumps website, social media pages and a brand-new book.

The new site (www.scholastic.com/goosebumps) allows fans to play games and activities such as “Monster Blood” and “Which Monster Are You?”, check-out the author events calendar and discuss all things Goosebumps in a community forum.

The firm is also launching a new book titled the 12 Screams of Christmas and Goosebumps author R.L. Stine is hosting a social media takeover today on Scholastic’s Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Instagram accounts where he will share jokes, trivia, videos, images and answer questions from fans.

“Through our new website, a movie coming in summer 2015, new books and live events, we continue to excite and engage our young fan base as well as our loyal millennial Goosebumps fans,” said Deborah A. Forte, president of Scholastic Media.

The Goosebumps film, starring Jack Black, will be released from Sony Pictures Entertainment in August 2015.
