Warner Bros. has confirmed that Scooby Doo and the crime fighting gang are set to return to the big screen with an animated feature film in development.
Variety reports that the project has been set up with Atlas Entertainment, a collaboration featuring producers, charles Roven and Richard Suckle.
The pair produced Warner Bros’s first cinematic foray for the property in 2002 with Scooby Doo, mixing live action with CGI, and Scooby Too: Monsters Unleashed two years later.
Together, the live action films generated $450 million worldwide.
The studio has already tapped screen writer, Matt Lieberman to write the script for the new project.
