inviting nominations to recognise women from all areas of the business.

Search kicks off for top 50 women in UK licensing industry is compiling a list of the Top 50 women in the UK licensing industry.

Produced in association with Kilogrammedia, the feature will recognise women from all areas of the business – and we are looking for nominations from our readers as to who you think should be honoured.

We are looking to highlight the work of women working at licensor and licensee level, as well as in retail, media, marketing, PR and other roles which bring them into contact with the licensing industry. All sectors will be covered, from character, entertainment and toys, through to apparel, gifting, food, publishing and art to name just a few.

The nomination period is open now – and you have until Friday, October 24th to suggest a colleague, a supplier, a customer or yourself to appear on the list. If you know a woman in the business who inspires, makes a difference and deserves to be recognised, please nominate her by sending details to Samantha Loveday at

"We’re looking forward to highlighting the work of women in the UK licensing industry," said Lisa Carter, publisher of "The licensing business in the UK is vibrant, buzzing and friendly, and also happens to be packed full of a plethora of talented women. Following the success of the ToyNews Women of the Year event, it was a natural move to extend this to our sister licensing brand, too."

Jane Garner, MD of Kilogrammedia, added: "Having attended the ToyNews Women of the Year event it was lovely to see how pleased people were to be nominated so I was really delighted to be asked to work with on the Women in Licensing initiative."
