Sesame Street takes turn on the catwalk at London Fashion Week showcase

Iconic children’s brand Sesame Street took its turn on the catwalk at the recent London Fashion Week celebration, with an exclusive showcase from Difuzed.

The property was cast in the limelight at the show running from February 15th to 19th at the On|Off LFW Show held at The Store x 180 Strand, with a lavish collection designed by Jimmy Paul.

The showcase was the result of Bulldog Licensing – one of the UK’s leading licensing agencies – which represents Sesame Street here in the UK on behalf of Sesame Workshop.

JimmyPaul’s collection, inspired by the colourful, furry world of Sesame Street and its residents – Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch and others – used design tools inspired by Sesame Street to present a collection that honoured Sesame Street’s 50 years, and celebrated LFW’s creativity, pop culture and fashion.

Difuzed, which develops lifestyle products for a wide range of gaming, entertainment, fashion, sport and consumer goods brands, will be launching a diffusion line of apparel and accessories for women based on the show.

The Sesame Street fashion parade was attended by an audience of fashion experts, licensees and, of course, Sesame Street fans, who all voiced their appreciation of the show and JimmyPaul’s affectionate and amazing take on the colourful characters millions have grown up with and learned from.

Difuzed is one of the leading companies in its field in EMEA, working with many famous brands to create apparel and accessories collections featuring characters like Elmo, Oscar and Big Bird.

With Sambro on board as master plush partner, and very strong sales across soft lines for both adults and kids, Bulldog is looking to expand the licensing programme further across a number of categories, including toys, gifts, accessories, homewares and stationery.

Bulldog Licensing Senior Creative Manager, Sole Puerto said: “For this amazing show JimmyPaul skilfully adapted the charm, humour and colour of Sesame Street to produce a wonderful and stylish collection of outfits that took everyone’s breath away.

"We, and many fans of fashion and Sesame Street, are now looking forward to seeing the Difuzed line based on these fabulous creations at retail.”
