Silvergate seals new deals for Classic Peter Rabbit

Silvergate Media has bolstered the Classic Peter Rabbit programme with a brace of new licensee signings.

First up, Gund will be producing Peter Rabbit plush, plush keyrings and mohair plush for the UK, Eire/Channel Islands and mainland Europe.

Product will be distributed through high-end retail outlets and is expected to launch in spring 2014.

In addition, British designer Emma Bridgewater has developed a range of ceramic tableware. The initial collection includes a bowl, plate and child’s mug, available in a boxed set or individually, as well as a full size mug.

It is already available online and in store at the four Emma Bridgewater shops in the UK, as well as over 200 indepedent retailers.

A melamine range and additional ceramic designs are due to follow in 2014. The licence will see the range being distributed in the UK, US, Japan, Australia and Europe.

Ron Allen, SVP consumer products for Silvergate Media, said: "Beatrix Potter’s imaginative stories and exquisite illustrations are known and loved the world over. The addition of Gund and Emma Bridgewater to our licensee portfolio strengthens our ability to connect with a new generation of sophisticated gift givers and collectors looking for high quality, contemporary products."
