Silvergate Media has sealed a global partnership for Octonauts with World Oceans Day – coordinated by The Ocean Project, an organisation dedicated to helping zoos, aquaria, museums and other groups engage with visitors to promote marine conservation.
The partnership sees the Octonauts brand featured on promotional, marketing and educational materials, as well as involvement at live events and other activities taking place in America, the UK and Australia around World Oceans Day on June 8th.
The assets will be made available via the World Oceans Day website to any partner in The Ocean Project Network, including nurseries, pre-schools and not for profit organisations.
"We know that Octonauts is already delivering a powerful marine conservation message to pre-schoolers and their families," said Lesli Zador, VP of brand and marketing at Silvergate Media. "We hope that our partnership with The Ocean Project and involvement in World Oceans Day will help to engage and inspire even more people to learn about protecting the oceans and the creatures that live there."
Bill Mott, executive director of The Ocean Project, added: "Our partnership with Octonauts gives us the ability to create some fantastic new materials for our youngest supporters, working with a brand they already know and love."
Silvergate’s work with The Ocean Project will run alongside existing partnerships with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in the US and the Marine Conservation Society in the UK.
