Sky launches dedicated Star Wars channel and remote controls

It’s fair to say that recent weeks have seen TV service Sky become more than a little obsessed with sci-fi saga Star Wars.

Earlier this month the service revealed that it was to launch a dedicated Sky Movies Star Wars channel, airing all six Star Wars movies as well as playing host to a live broadcast from the premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Now, the love affair with the intergalactic tale continues as Sky offers the first glimpse of its new collection of Star Wars themed remotes, each designed to look like iconic characters from the franchise.

With ten versions to choose from, characters adapted to Sky remote form, include C-3PO, Darth Vader, the stormtrooper and R2-D2.

There are also six art design versions for the likes of Yoda, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker and second versions for Darth Vader and the stormtrooper.

Sky Movies Star Wars will be available on channel 304 from December 11 until January 3.
