Smiffys readies for World Book Day 2019 with Bing, Postman Pat and Wind in the Willows

RH Smith and Sons, the owners of the costume specialist, Smiffys, Fever and Time4Fun has added a slate of new properties to its licensing portfolio in the form of Bing, Postman Pat and Wind in the Willows.

The new additions join its collection of toddler dress-up items and will hit retail in time for World Book Day 2019.

World Book Day has become a firm fixture in the school calendar, and its popularity only seems to be growing throughout nurseries nationwide, read a statement from the firm. ‘As schools focus on the literacy aspect of the event, dress-up plays an important role in making reading fun for pre-schoolers and school age kids alike.

Smiffys’ new pre-school and baby range of generic and officially licensed dress-up includes characters from popular children’s books and pre-school television programmes such as Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit, Roald Dahl and Where’s Wally.

All Smiffys children and toddler costumes exceed the safety standards required by law and comply with EN71 regulations, Nightwear (Flammability) Standards BS 5722 and the BRC code of conduct, where required.
