With the new film set to hit cinemas this weekend, Sony Pictures Animation and Columbia Pictures are ramping up the retail activity for The Smurfs 2.
Retail promotions and in-store activity have been launched in Pet-Smart, Macys, It’s Sugar, Toys R Us, Build a Bear Workshop, Claire’s and Walmart.
Some of the promotions include gift with purchase, gift cards and TV advertising.
Additional retail support includes focal placement and signage for key licensed categories, while DVDs can be found at Target, Kmart, Walgreens, Best Buy and Barnes & Noble.
"We are so excited for the second release in The Smurfs franchise," said Greg Economos, SVP, global consumer products, Sony. "With the success of The Smurfs movie we have even more retailers embracing the brand by supporting with fantastic promotions.
