A TV series based on Guy Ritchie’s crime movie Snatch is heading to Sony’s Crackle.
Crackle, an ad-supported online platform, will house ten one-hour episodes of the show with the aim of ‘creating a new world born from the original movie’.
Taking inspiration from the TV adaptation of Fargo, and partly informed by a real life gold bullion heist, the new show will centre on a group of twenty-something, up and coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organised crime.
The hustlers must quickly learn to navigate the treacherous waters of London’s underworld as rogue cops, gypsy fighters, international mobsters and local villains descend.
