Sony Pictures Consumer Products unveils multi-category licensing roster for Cobra Kai

Sony Pictures Consumer Products has unveiled a multi-category licensing programme in support of the second season of the popular YouTube Premium series, Cobra Kai.

The US and Canadian brick and mortar retailer, Spencer’s has been tapped as the exclusive physical retailer for Cobra Kai across the region, with a full roster of products landing on the shelves of this pop culture specialist in time for the launch of the show’s follow-up season.

The exclusive retail collaboration will kick things off on May 6th this year, with a limited edition in-store gift with purchase across all of its 680 store locations. Meanwhile, season two will extend into new licensed products from Sony Pictures Consumer Products, with licensees such as Silver Screen Bottling Company, Party City, Funo and NECA each coming on board.

Additional licensees include Bioworld Merchandising, Active Brand Commerce and Fifth Sun.

Elsewhere, and giving fans direct access to shop for official Cobra Kai and The Karate Kid merchandise online, The Araca Group, which launched the Cobra Kai store in December 2018, has expanded its line of products.

SPCP will also team up with Teespring to develop an online destination that combines content and commerce through YouTube and Teespring’s new merchandise shelf function. Custom merchandise is featured directly under videos, allowing fans to directly browse the range on the channel and purchase products from apparel to home décor.

Apparel licensee, Fifth Sun will also launch an Amazon and retail e-commerce print on-demand program with SPCP.
