Spaghetti Western acting duo Bud Spencer and Terence Hill make licensing move with BSL

The day is finally upon us. The Italian acting duo, Bud Spencer and Terence Hill – best known for their roles in the Spaghetti Western film genre – have side saddled their way into licensing, courtesy of Bavaria Sonor Licensing.

Having acquired the licensing rights to the famous film duo, Bavaria Sonor Licensing will look to develop a brand universe around the pair, expanding the brand into fashion, food and drink, promotions, home and living, and personal care segments.

The plan will be managed by BSL’s Bavaria Media.

Ivica Maracic, licensing and sales director of Bavaria Sonor Licensing, said: “With the acquisition of the mandate for ‘Bud Spencer’ and ‘Terence Hill’, a childhood dream is absolutely coming true. They are some of the most iconic actors in movie history and are simply icons everyone knows.

“Their movies are still as popular as ever, and their quotes and humour are legendary. They are great brands for a broad audience. The industry can really look forward to their licensing potential.”

Paloma Productions Media & Marketing GmbH for Terence Hill and the Plattfuss Vertriebs GmbH for Bud Spencer transferred their Europe-wide licensing mandates to Bavaria Media GmbH.  Both companies are represented by Marcus Zölch.

Marcus Zölch, CEO of Paloma Productions Media & Marketing GmbH, added: “As the right-hand man of Terence Hill and Bud Spencer, I am delighted to have found a partner in Bavaria Media that has given me the feeling of having the same enthusiasm and energy for the idols of our childhood. The most successful movie duo ever returns, but has never really disappeared.”
