Spotlight Licensing and Brand Management has been polishing the silverware, straightening the divan and busy securing new licensing partners in anticipation of the upcoming Downton Abbey film, hitting screens this September.
New to the growing roster of licensees, that now includes the world’s first Downton Abbey escape room experience, is Lot18 and its collection of Downton Abbey themed red, white, and sparkling wines, and Willow Creek Press who will be launching a collection of calendars and 1000-piece puzzles.
The pair join Downton Abbey long-time licensee Cost Plus World Market who is readying itself for the release of the Downton Abbey movie later this year with several new direct to retail Downton Abbey food and houseware products.
“We’ve been looking forward to a Downton Abbey movie just like millions of other fans,” said Carole Postal, Spotlight Licensing’s president. “We hope they will be just as excited as we are to not only see this next chapter of the Crawley family saga on the big screen, but also to see it inspire a wide range of beautiful new Downton Abbey products.”
The Downton Abbey movie will be released in September this year in the US. It is a Carnival Films production, with Focus Features and Universal Pictures International distributing.
