Stan Lee backs Free Comic Book Day

Stan Lee is urging superhero fans to celebrate Free Comic Book Day this year, simply by popping into their local comic book shop.

With a hearty “Excelsior”, Lee has taken to the internet to spread the message of the annual event, taking place on Saturday, May 3rd.

The day celebrates some of the most popular characters to grace the comic book medium by offering both adults and kids’ alike 60 titles to choose their free comic from.

Among those including in the list this year are; Guardians of the Galaxy, Spongebob, DC’s The New 52: Futures End, Teen Titans Go, Transformers vs. GI Joe, Power Rangers, Hello Kitty and more.
