The title of J.J. Abrams’ upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII has been given the official title: Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The new title was revealed in a Tweet from Walt Disney Pictures that also announced that principal photography for the new movie had been completed.
The seventh installment of the sci-fi will feature Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher as they reprise their iconic roles from the original trilogy.
“The Force Awakens will be set 30 years after the 1983 Return of the Jedi and will feature new and familiar faces,” said Disney chief, Bob Iger.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is scheduled to hit cinemas on December 18, 2015.
