Star Wars Episode VII pre-teaser teaser tantalises fans

The first teaser trailer for the upcoming JJ Abrams movie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be available on iTunes in the US today.

30 US cinemas will then host the new 88 second trailer, that according to reports will feature all of the main characters, if but only for a moment.

However, for now, UK audiences will have to make do with a pre-teaser teaser, tweeted by the movie’s director JJ Abrams, suggesting that the trailer will contain just ‘a tiny peek at what we are working on.’

It has also been reported that the Star Wars theme – played by a full orchestra – will be heard faintly over the footage, while among the many rumours spun out by the thousands of fansites, is the belief that the trailer will end with a shot of the Millenium Falcon.

In the upcoming title, original cast members of the Star Wars franchise, including Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill will join the new cast made up of John boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow.

Excitement for the new teaser trailer was sparked when @Star Wars hinted at the launch of the footage earlier this week.
