Star Wars: The Force Awakens becomes UK’s fastest-selling Blu-ray of all time

Star Wars: The Force Awakens has become the UK’s fastest-selling Blu-ray of all time.

Screen reports that the Blu-ray sold more than 530,000 units in its first week of release, passing the previous record holder, Skyfall.

The Force Awakens is also the fastest-selling Star Wars home entertainment title, with 1.2m units purchased across DVD and Blu-ray. This beats Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, which sold 1.17m in 2000.
