Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer breaks records with 88 million views in 24 hours

The most recent Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer has broken records for the most trailer views in 24 hours.

The trailer was viewed a mammoth 88 million times in its first 24 hours of being online, it was revealed at last week’s Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim.

This includes a hefty 38 million views on the official Star Wars YouTube account alone.

Star Wars’ 88 million figure smashes the record set by Fast & Furious 7 last year, which managed 62 million trailer views in its first 24 hours.

Elsewhere, Disney has revealed that next year’s Star Wars Celebration event will be held in London, from July 15th to 17th, 2016.
