ITV Studios Global Entertainment has struck a new UK distribution deal with Stepping Stones Marketing for a range of games and puzzles based on its iconic property, Babar.
The Babar Wooden Magnetic Shapes set and the Babar Deluxe Puzzle Wheel from Mudpuppy, will make a UK debut from early autumn, and will be made available in 500 independent gift and toy stores across the country.
Stepping Stones Marketing will work closely with ITVS GE to relaunch the brand through mid to up market specialist stores, targeting further outlets in the run up to Christmas.
The Wooden Magnetic Shapes Set allows fans to recreate scenes with colourful wooden magnets depicting Babar, his family and friends.
Meanwhile, the Deluxe Puzzle Wheel features six colourful pieces that fit into a central hub to form a 30 centimetre diameter puzzle.
The latest agreement marks another important stage in the development of the Babar brand in the UK as the character celebrates his 80th birthday this year.
