Studio 100 adds Drop Dead Weird and Random and Whacky to line-up

Studio 100 Media has acquired the distribution rights for two new live-action children’s series from Australia in the form of Drop Dead Weird and Random and Whacky.

Australian/Irish co-production Drop Dead Weird is a 26×24 series created by Sally Browning and Dean Cropp, targeting kids six-12 years old with its unique brand of playful comedy.

The series premiered on September 25th 2017 on RTÈ2 (Ireland) and launches on 7TWO and KidsOn7 in Australia this October. Studio 100 will be handling all broadcasting outside of these territories. A second season is also in development for 2019.

Also targeted at kids of six-12 years, the live action comedy Random and Whacky (15 x 24’) created by Monica O’Brien is a fast-paced, unpredictable series which aims to encourage kids to unleash their inner creativity.

Season 2 (15 x 24’) is in development, slated for delivery by end of 2019. Studio 100 Media will be distributing all rights worldwide, excluding Australia. The series premiered on Australia’s Channel 11 in summer 2017.
