Studio 100 has revealed it has already signed up 46 countries to air the new Vic the Viking CGI series, which is due to complete production by the beginning of 2014.
The series is being produced for ZDF (Germany), TF1 (France), Channel 10 and ABC (Australia). It will ultimately consist of 78 12-minute episodes.
Studio 100 will also be showcasing the property at Licensing Expo next week. It is especially looking to grow the publishing, toys and games sectors for the brand.
Partners already on board include Simba Dickie (the master toy in GAS, Spain and Portugal), Planeta, De Agostini, Hemma and Panini.
"Vic the Viking is a very important asset within the Studio 100 stable," said Marie-Laure Marchand, director at the firm. "We differentiate ourselves with this series; although it is aimed at young boys, it does not attribute any value to forcefulness or rivalry.
"It promotes teamwork, intelligence and family values which makes it a very compelling brand to children’s licensees, many of which we’re hoping to engage with at this year’s Licensing Expo."
