Subway Surfers seals sticker deal with DK

Evolution Europe has secured a deal with DK for a Subway Surfers Ultimate Sticker Collection book.

Hitting retail in October, the book will comprise 1,000 stickers inspired by the successful gaming app.

Subway Surfers enjoys worldwide downloads in excess of 430 million, having launched two years ago. It currently boasts 135 million monthly active users and 22 billion+ gameplay sessions. It reached number one in the iOS arcade category in 132 countries, is currently number one arcade in the UK on Google Play and is officially the second most popular game in the world.

A pilot is also currently in production for a Subway Surfers TV animation, with the first 26 episodes (13 minutes in length) planned for autumn.

"We’re excited to welcome DK to the Subway Surfers crew and feel their Ultimate Sticker Collection Book will be an appealing ‘must have’ for our core tween consumers," said Natasha Dyson, VP licensing for Evolution Europe.

Simon Beecroft, publishing director for licensed books at DK, added: "DK is delighted to be along for the ride. The vibrant, dynamic characters in Subway Surfers will be perfect for books and, with two children of my own, I know that kids who play the game want to know everything about Jake, Fresh, Tricky and the others."
