Popular 3D platform gaming app reaches milestone one year since release.

Subway Surfers surpasses 200 million downloads

Ink’s popular gaming app Subway Surfers has reached its latest milestone, topping 200 million downloads worldwide.

The game that was released in June last year is now one of the three most played apps in the world and is available to play on iOS and Android.

The 3D platform game reached the 200 million mark after being on the market for just 12 months.

Ink Director, Claus Tomming, said: "If app brands are hot right now then Subway Surfers is absolutely sizzling – its popularity is soaring and shows absolutely no signs of letting up. The sky is the limit with this one."

The game puts players in the role of young graffiti artists as they evade capture from a railway guard and his dog.

Developed by Danish digital company SYBO Games, the app is distributed globally by Kiloo.
