Kids social content app PopJam has passed the one million users milestone.
The app, owned by SuperAwesome, now reaches over 30 per cent of kids aged eight to 12 in the UK.
Data also revealed that kids on PopJam are spending over 45m a day engaging with their favourite content, creators and brand channels on the platform, over twice the engagement of Instagram.
The platform is now used by hundreds of companies including Nintendo, Penguin, Disney Channel, Zeptolab, Rovio and Aardman Animation, as well as startups like Tiniez, Ooks HQ and Bebods.
PopJam is also home to official YouTube channels from the likes of AmyLee33, Wizard Keen, Sqaishey Quack and Beckii Cruel. As with all channels on PopJam, content released by YouTube creators is strictly reviewed to ensure it is appropriate for the under 13 audience.
“PopJam has become a phenomenal platform for kids to safely engage with brands and stars in a creative, conversational way, " said Paul Nunn, SuperAwesome’s chief commercial officer.
"Reaching the one million user milestone is a testament to the growing appeal of PopJam and the fantastic brands and content creators it attracts. I think for YouTube talent like AmyLee and the others it provides a great partner app for them to deepen their engagement with fans”.
Previously only available in the UK, PopJam is shortly being released in North America.
