Rubber Road joins forces with Shepperton Design Studios for Original Stormtrooper merch

Rubber Road continues to expand its relationships with key players in the world of movies to grow its portfolio of merchandise for all things, pop culture, videogame, comicbook and TV related, by kicking off 2022 with a new partnership with Shepperton Design Studios.

In a deal brokered by Golden Goose, Rubber Road will develop an extensive range of Original Stormtrooper themed merchandise landing later this year to meet the demands of the IP’s many fans.

The new deal will see Rubber Road designing, manufacturing and distributing a range of official merchandise with its creative design business, Numskull Designs.

Liam Taylor, Commercial Director at Rubber Road, says: “We are ecstatic to be working with Golden Goose and Shepperton, whose Original Stormtrooper is a fantastic property that complements our portfolio no end. We’re looking forward to a great partnership. This deal sees a fantastic range of Stormtrooper merch in the works at our design studios and we can’t wait to release them to fans later in 2022.”

Rubber Road is known for producing merchandise for some of the leading global brands in entertainment including Universal, Warner Bros, Netflix, Xbox, Sony Pictures, Sony Playstation, SEGA and Hasbro. Franchises in the portfolio include Minions, Harry Potter, DC Comics, Sonic the Hedgehog, Back to the Future, Stranger Things, Jurassic Park, Star Trek, Ghostbusters, Lord of the Rings, Friends and Resident Evil.

The spirit is strong with Original Stormtroopers as IP sees ‘huge online demand’ and new product launches

The Sourceror Ltd has called ‘all hands to the pump’ over the current surge in demand for Original Stormtrooper Beer, a licensed line produced in partnership with Vocation Brewery and Shepperton Design Studios, that has risen in popularity over the course of what had been dubbed Lockdown 2.0.

It’s according to The Sourceror’s Ben Fowler that such is the increase in online ordering of the licensed beer that supply chains for the business have been ‘massively challenged’, and that now ‘it really is all hands to the pump’ in order to meet demand.

Meanwhile, the Original Stormtrooper licensing programme is experiencing pick-up across the alcoholic beverage sector where it has recently launched three new 70cl gin variants to complement its successful Salted Caramel and Vodka liqueurs in B&M stores. The new spirits from Blue Tree Gifts strengthen the brand in the BWS category where it has already driven sales of over 150,000 Original Stormtrooper gift-sets.

Finally, licensee Beer Buddies is ready to unveil a new hand-sculpted wall mounted Original  Stormtrooper bottle opener: a sure sign of the brand’s potential in this space.  

Shepperton Design Studio’s Andrew Ainsworth, commented: “Any connection  between these products and the Stormtrooper’s failure to shoot straight is purely coincidental.” 

Original Stormtroopers march upon UK retail with more food and drink partnerships

Shepperton Design Studios has unleashed an army of galactic delicacies upon the nation’s biggest retailers this year, with the launch of a range of Original Stormtroopers licensed foods and drinks.

Complementing an already successful line of cakes and beer from BBF and The Sourceror, the company – through partnerships brokered by its licensing agent Golden Goose – has unveiled a swathe of new treats, including Original Stormtrooper Easter Eggs, pancakes, and hot sauces.

Modern Gourmet Foods will be helping sci-fi fans kick off lent with its stormtrooper-shaped pancakes, or spice things up a bit with its selection of hot sauces in Stormtrooper-shaped bottles.

The Original Stormtrooper Easter Egg can be found on the shelves of M&S, the Original Stormtrooper cake from BBF is in Asda, and the new Original Stormtrooper Lightspeed Pilsner is currently in Morrisons.

Modern Gourmet Foods will be launching its range on Amazon and selected stores later in the year.
