Sony Pictures Consumer Products and Tockr team up for ‘The Wheel of Time’ inspired wristwatches

American watch brand Tockr has announced a new, limited series of “The Wheel of Time” inspired wristwatches.

With their luminous serpentine watch dials, the new unisex Tockr “The Wheel of Time” models channel the mystery and magic of the new fantasy series from Prime Video and Sony Pictures Television, available to stream now on Prime Video.

Tockr Founder Austin Ivey says: “We are so proud to be the timepiece licensee for ‘The Wheel of Time,’ and it is our hope that this is just the first of many exciting collaborations to come with Sony Pictures Consumer Products and Prime Video.”

Each watch is presented in a 42 mm stainless steel case and is powered within by a high-grade Swiss quartz movement. The solid case back bears a detailed engraving of “The Wheel of Time” logo and a unique serial number engraving.

A textured black silicone strap subtly mimics a serpent’s scales and adds a dramatic finishing touch, complete with a stainless-steel pin buckle engraved with the Tockr logo. Each wristwatch will come delivered in a custom “The Wheel of Time” branded leather pouch.

The watches are available for pre-order ($449 USD each)  exclusively at Tockr.com, shipping worldwide, with delivery in early 2022.

Adidas and Timex Group partner to launch Adidas Originals branded watches in 2022

The international watchmaking company, Timex Group, has entered into a global licensing agreement with Adidas to design, manufacture, and distribute watches under the Adidas Original brand.

The collection is scheduled to hit the market at the start of next year and will look to blend Timex Group’s heritage in watchmaking and design with Adidas Originals’ street culture inspiration. The portfolio of watches will also draw attention to the brand’s focus on sustainability.

“We could not be more excited to welcome Adidas into our portfolio of brands,” said Tobias Reiss-Schmidt, president and CEO of Timex Group.

“There are few truly iconic brands, and Adidas, with its rich history and authentic style, is at the very top of the list. We see a strong and increasing interest in watches among young Millennials and GenZ, and we look forward to introducing our Adidas Originals watch collection to this next generation of consumers.”

The range will be sold across Adidas owned stores, affiliates and e-commerce, and through Timex Group’s global distribution network.

The Pokémon Company extends Casio partnership for new BABY-G women’s watch

The Pokémon Company and the international watchmaker, Casio have expanded on a collaborative partnership to welcome the fan-favourite Pokémon, Pikachu to the firm’s popular line-up of BABY-G women’s watches.

The latest collaboration follows on from the success of a partnership established last year that celebrated BABY-G’s 25th anniversary. The latest partnership will introduce an analog-digital watch with an outdoor theme, representing the active image of the BABY-G brand.

The band of the watch model – BA110PKC-4A – showcases a camouflage pattern and female Pikachu with a heart-shaped tail.

The Pikachu design is also infused with subtle details like the silhouette of the pink tail on the strap keeper and the Pikachu image etched on the case back. The hour and minute hands also evoke the face of Pikachu, a playful touch that will delight the wearer whenever they check the time.
