Talking Tom app franchise celebrates 4.5 billion downloads worldwide

Outfit7 has seen its hit Talking Tom app reach 4.5 billion downloads, making it one of the most successful app franchises across the globe.

The children’s app game reached the new milestone in the same month that Outfit7 has launched its latest fast-paced Talking Tom app game: Talking Tom Gold Run.

Talking Tom Gold Run begins with a robbery, causing the player to run as fast as possible to retrieve the fallen gold bars, dodge obstacles and collect rewards.

The game currently has seven worlds to unlock, with new building upgrades, characters and running segments becoming available as the game is played.

“Through the limited release test, we saw how receptive gamers were to the unique combination of a runner and builder style of gameplay,” said Samo Login, founder and CEO of Outfit7.

“With so many different elements used within its game, several player emotions are evoked, including courage, independence. Self-realisation and motivation.”

Talking Tom Gold Run is a free to download app that hosts a number of social features, allowing users to connect with friends through Facebook to see high scores.

The Talking Tom app franchise has amassed 4.5 billion downloads n the five years since its premiere launch.

The franchise has also achieved over 5.7 billion views of its various branded content on YouTube.
