Maxilin launches new confectionery line under licence from Britvic.

Tango Orange Flyers swoop into retail

Confectionery manufacturer Maxilin has secured a deal with Britvic to produce a new line of Tango sweets.

The Tango Orange Flyers have joined the company’s existing Flyers assortment – a ‘Flyer’ is a soft eating liquorice tube, filled with tangy sherbet crystals and topped with a fruit flavoured cap.

The first phase of the Tango product was launched in count line format aimed at cash and carry, independents and wholesalers.

"We are proud to have been appointed as a Tango licensee and pleased at the positive reaction to our Tango Flyers packs from the IFE exhibition," said Maxilin’s sales director, Darren Butterworth.

Ian Downes, MD at Start Licensing, the agent for Britvic, added: "I am always on the look out for product that can maximise the strengths and characteristics of the brands my company represents. Maxilin’s unique and original Flyers certainly hit the mark for Tango taste sensation."

Tango Orange Flyers complement Maxlin’s existing range of Original, Blackcurrant and Strawberry.
