Technicolor has optioned the rights from Fun Crew Ltd. to develop and produce 52 11 minute episodes of the 2D digital animated children’s series, Cosmo, Bud & Boo.
The new show will debut at Kidscreen Summit 2014 taking place from February 9th to the 12th in New York.
Cosmo, Bud & Boo is being co-developed with industry veteran and creative consultant, Debbie MacDonald, who previously served as an executive at Nickelodeon UK.
The show is about ‘the fun surprises friendship brings’ and follows two bears and a boy in a bear suit.
“We immediately responded to the fantastic idea and visuals of Cosmo, Bud & Boo that Fun Crew presented, and we knew that together we could create a visually captivating series with engaging characters and fun storylines that would resonate with children everywhere,” said Steven Wendland, vice president and head of creative for Technicolor’s Animation & Games business.
“We are excited to work with Fun Crew and Debbie MacDonald to bring the series to life and look forward to presenting the concept to potential partners at the upcoming Kidscreen Summit.”
