TGI Fridays teams with Manchester Drinks for new cocktail range

TGI Fridays has launched its first range of unique, ready to drink cocktails in a new partnership with the UK manufacturer Manchester Drinks.

The new cocktail range offers what the restaurant brand bills as innovative and adventurous flavours from the TGI Friday cocktail menu in ‘convenient, pre-mixed bottles that can be enjoyed at home.’

Manchester Drinks, the UK-based manufacturer of ready to drink products, has secured the license for TGI Fridays pre-mixed cocktails through the brand extension agency, Beanstalk. The product is now available exclusively in Tesco.

Passionfruit Martini, Pink Punk Mojito and Long Island Iced Tea make up the range of flavours available, while the recognisable TGI Fridays branding features on the bottles.

Richard Benjamin of Manchester Drinks, said: “TGI Fridays is renowned for its sociable atmosphere and the celebration of that Friday feeling, something all of us can relate to.

“We have identified a strong opportunity to attract shoppers to the Ready to Serve Fixture by offering the adventure and innovation of the TGI Fridays cocktail menu in stores. We are delighted to launch our range of pre-mixed cocktails, which provide a simple way for consumers to enjoy the authentic taste of TGI Fridays’ cocktails at an affordable price.”

Chris Phylactou, vice president of global licensing, strategic sourcing and brand protection for TGI Fridays, added: “For the first time, TGI Fridays has launched a range of signature ready-to-drink cocktails for the UK market. Since 1965, our skilled mixologists have delivered the most innovative cocktails with the tastiest ingredients in-restaurant, with a history of over 500 cocktails on menu.

“Through this collaboration between TGI Fridays and Manchester Drinks’ expert teams we are thrilled to offer fans of our restaurants the opportunity to enjoy TGI Fridays cocktails in between restaurant visits, as they have been able to do in the US for many years.”
