The Angry Birds Movie hits £10m mark at UK box office

Sony Picture’s The Angry Birds Movie has reached the £10m mark at the UK box office after eight weeks on screens.

The animated movie has made just over $105m in the US, with its worldwide gross currently standing at $337m.

Elsewhere, Universal’s The Secret Live of Pets just secured its second week at the top of the UK box office, fetching £16.61m to date, while 20th Century Fox’s Ice Age: Collision Course made £1m in previews ahead of its official UK debut on July 15th.

Looking ahead a future big screen adventures boasting major licensing programmes, Ghostbusters arrives on July 11th, The BFG on July 22nd and Finding Dory on July 29th.
