The Energizer Bunny to get Funko POP treatment in exclusive new deal

The Energizer Bunny is to make its debut as a collectable Funko figure, joining the Funko hall of fame and cementing its place as an icon of modern day pop culture.

The launch of the new vinyl figure is a result of a licensing agreement between Energizer, known for batteries, power and lighting and auto care, and Funko, a leading pop culture consumer products company. The deal was brokered by the global brand extension licensing agency Beanstalk.

The relationship between Funko, whose Pop! Vinyl figures are its flagship product, and Energizer, whose licensing program is focused around batteries and power and light, extends the brand and the Energizer Bunny into a cool, novel category of collectable products.

Funko’s Energizer Bunny Pop! Vinyl figure, will be a stylised version of Energizer’s ‘spokes-hare’, for 30 years a symbol of perseverance and boundless energy, allowing for a new way for consumers to interact with the brand.

Recently refreshed and animated in the American market, the Energizer Bunny’s playful flair now plays a central role in Energizer’s packaging, communication and marketing programs.

“There is no better collectables partner than Funko to personify the Energizer Bunny’s cheeky, light-hearted personality in their iconic, big-headed Pop! line. Funko’s broad and deep distribution will ensure every Energizer Bunny fan will be easily able to add the Bunny to their collection,” said Linda Morgenstern, VP, brand management, Beanstalk.

The Energizer Bunny Pop! Vinyl will appear late October on shelves and online, including at Hot Topic, Amazon and Target. The retail price is $10.00.
