The Light Fund reveals 2014 National Golf Day date

The Light Fund’s 2014 National Golf Day has been scheduled for May 8th next year.

The event will be held on King’s course at Warwickshire Golf and Country Club, with proceedings tee-ing of with teas, coffees and bacon rolls, before the Shotgun Start marks the start of the 18 hole Better Ball Stableford competition.

Non-golfers will be welcome to attend the presentation dinner after the day’s competition.

Full details of the Golf Day are available via the Light Fund website, www.lightfund.org.

Patrick Bailey of Blues, promoting the event on behalf of the Light Fund, said: "We hope to make this an annual event and a special Winner’s Trophy will be awarded that will be inscribed with the names of the winners and held until the following year.

"It will certainly be a worthy prize to grace any boardroom."

Rainbow’s David Scott, added: "We are very grateful to Patrick and his team of volunteers for organising what should be another fantastic Light Fund event.

"Anybody wishing to be Headline Sponsor for the event or to sponsor the Longest Drive/Nearest the Pin Challenges should contact Patrick or any Light Funder for details."
