The Point. 1888 adds three new licensing and retail experts to burgeoning team

The Point.1888 has added three new licensing and retail experts to its team, just one month after launching its new marketing service for clients under the leadership of Sarah Crimes.

 Joining the agency in this new hiring, comes Louise Williamson who takes on the role of  head of FMCG and home, Carrie Sharland as an associate commercial manager, and Amy Plume also as an associate commercial manager.

This is the fourth expansion round for The Point.1888 in just over five months, who has been growing its team to keep up with the ever increasing demand from brands and licensees. The team has grown from eight to 21 employees and now boasts a total of 70 years of licensing experience.

To her role of head of FMCG and home, Williamson is bringing 25 years of experience working with blue chip brands from both a licensor and brand agency perspective such as Harry Potter, Teletubbies, Coca Cola, Star Wars and Marvel Superhero giants Spiderman, Iron Man, and Avengers.

Having managed several international agency partners, Williamson has experience of introducing brands to international markets, developing new partnerships and retail promotions and building long term brand strategies across EMEA territories.

Her key responsibility with The Point. 1888 will be to ensure brands are matched with the perfect licensing partners and only the best products make their way to the shop shelves.

 Meanwhile, associate commercial manager, Sharland joins from CAA-GBG where she was responsible for product development and brand management. Prior to this she worked at a fashion import and export company, running its London showroom for eight years.

Bringing competitor insight to the table, Sharland will play a big part in The Point.1888’s commercial team, helping to build and sustain relationships with the agency’s partners and brand owners. Her main clients will include Tinpo, Jamie Johnson and Battersea.

Finally, and to ‘keep up with the overwhelming interest received’ as a result of the firm’s client wins over the last few months, a second Plume is also joining to support the homeware team. She joins from toy retail giant, Hamleys, where she planned and supervised many of the company’s events and worked alongside the marketing team on major brand campaigns.
