The Point. 1888 pairs Jimbobart with Elite Tins for new household gifting line

The Point.1888 has teamed its animal-related giftware client, Jimbobart, with new licensee Elite Tins, a specialist provider of decorated tin boxes.

Since launching in 2009, Jimbobart has gone from hand drawn plates to a leader in boutique giftware. The illustrations, by James Ward, are designed to make people smile and comprise everything from bears in underpants to wrestling animals and superhero badgers.

Meanwhile, Elite Tins boasts the largest selection of tins in the UK, having spent much of its 35 year history working with big name brands to create best selling award winning products. Its tins have been sold in Buckingham Palace, Liberty’s, Waitrose and John Lewis among others.

The new partnership of Jimbobart and Elite Tins will bring the brand a new range of household gifts for its fans to enjoy. Launching in the new year, the product range will include sandwich tins and trays, slider tins and mugs.

Janine Richmond, commercial manager at The Point.1888, said: “Tins and trays are a fabulous way to use some of Jimbobart’s incredible artwork on everyday products that consumers can use and enjoy on a regular basis.

“The market for tins and reusable containers is booming and with a fantastic partner like Elite we have created some products that really are unlike anything else in the market.”

James Ward of Jimbobart, added: “We’ve built a loyal social media following and have had huge retail success and I think that’s down to the fact that Jimbobart appeals to a wide demographic of consumers, from kids to grandparents.

“We’ve been so lucky to work with some incredible brands to create some new products but I’m unbelievably grateful for The Point.1888’s hard work to find Elite Tins. What we’ll be creating will be entirely new and I cannot wait for the launch.”

Established in 2014, The Point.1888 delivers retail focused brand extension programmes through partnership licensing agreements. The company has grown exponentially in the last 24 months, building strategic licensing programmes for Yvonne Ellen, Team GB, Battersea, and more recently the Metropolitan Police Service.

The new Jimbobart x Elite Tins product range will feature at next year’s Spring Fair.
