The Pokémon Company grows UK partners for accessories and confectionery

The Pokémon Company has signed a trio of new deals that will see the hit franchise extend into further accessories and confectionery in the UK.

The signings include new deals with VMC Accessories for a line of fashion hats, scarves, gloves and tech accessories, OTL for headphones and Kinnerton who is readying the launch of Pokémon Advent Calendars.

The new lines are expected to roll out at retail in autumn/winter this year, adding to a growing slate of European licensees across a variety of categories that complement the kids and adults apparel ranges in the market.

Mathieu Galante, senior market development manager for The Pokémon Company International, added: “Once again we are delighted to announce these great new licensing deals which further strengthen Pokémon’s consumer products programme throughout Europe.

“With an ever-growing range of Pokémon licensed product available at retail, targeted at children and older fans, we are set for an extremely successful 20th year in 2016 and plan to use this as a solid springboard for further achievement as we move into 2017 and beyond.”
