The Science Museum partners with History Heroes for educational card games

The Science Museum has launched into a new licensing partnership with History Heroes, the UK team behind a range of educational card games.

The collaboration is aimed at encouraging kids of all ages to learn in a fun and engaging way about scientists and inventors who have helped shape the modern world.

The partnership, according to the Science Museum, is one to have grown from a shared focus on increasing science capital and encouraging kids to get inspired by STEM subjects.

Science Museum group licensing manager, Abigail Ratcliffe, said: “The Science Museum is committed to igniting curiosity and inspiring everyone to enjoy and engage with STEM topics.

“History Heroes is a fantastic way to learn through play and we know that both children and adults feel more engaged and receptive to learning when facts are presented in interactive formats.

“History Heroes offers a fresh, fun way to discover the inventors and scientists who have helped shape the modern world and inspire players to find objects related to their favourite heroes on their next visit to the Mueseum.”

Each pack of History Heroes contains 40 cards, each with an historical figure and a range of intriguing facts offering insight into their life and work. Players take it in turns to guess who the character might be, enabling learning through fun as they compete to win the most cards.

Alexandra Ehrmann from History Heroes, added: “Being such a big fan of the Science Museum, I am delighted that sales of our games will now be contributing towards maintaining this marvellous institution, helping to preserve the work and legacy of characters featured on our cards.”
