The Simpsons head to Bristol this weekend as art festival Upfest returns

Europe’s largest street art festival is making its return to Bristol this weekend where the official theme will be a celebration of The Simpsons.

Upfest will be celebrating its 10 anniversary in South Bristol from July 28 to 30 with festival goers privy to renowned artist interpretations of The Simpsons characters like Homer, Marge, Bart and even Moe.

This year, Upfest artists have been selected by The Simpsons’ creator Matt Groening and Fox to bring The Simpsons to life in their unique art styles.

Bao, Soker and Nomad Clan will each reinterpret the animated series’ characters throughout the festival. Upfest attracts over 400 artists painting 50 venues throughout Bedminster and Southville, in Bristol.

In addition to watching the artists work, visitors will be able to enjoy music, kids’ activities, art tours and more.
