The Smurfs brand expands with new Bakery App

Sony Pictures Consumer Products has teamed up with Budge Studios and Lafig SA to launch the first Smurfs food mobile app.

The Smurfs Bakery is an invitation to join Smurfette in the kitchen to whip up a variety of delectable desserts like Smurfberry Ice Pops, Smurfberry Shakes, Princess Smurfette Cakes, Smurf Head Cake Pops and Smurf House Cakes.

With simple step by step instructions and baking tips from Smurfette, young chefs will be able to create delicious recipes on their device before moving into the kitchen.

Each dessert also has its own unique gameplay technique to ensure bakers are mastering new skills, while the user-friendly, movement activated actions such as tilting to pour will come in handy when mastering the variety of techniques required to complete recipes.

Smurfs will also be able to send users their special food orders.

Leading ‘freemium’ kids app company, Budge Studios has also previously worked with American Greetings, Sony, DHX Media, Crayola, Disney and Nickelodeon.
